A trio of Donlon Agency associates attended NACCDO-PAMN this week. It’s a uniquely lovely conference that we look forward to attending each year, and the 2019 gathering of the National Association of Cancer Center Development Officers (NACCDO) and Public Affairs and Marketing Network (PAMN) this week in Oklahoma City did not disappoint.
The panel discussion topics were timely, the shared analyses were on point, and the catering was abundant and delicious. Industry leaders and newbies alike tackled topics such as the latest strategies for upgrading donors to the major gift level, undertaking the daunting task of a website redesign, how to navigate the ever-changing digital media space, and the necessary but often overlooked need for an intentional plan for donor stewardship. These are among the many initiatives that keep us at Donlon Agency awake at night, and a few of the ideas we work really hard to simplify and focus on for our clients. Making big projects digestible for nonprofits and teams of all sizes is one of the things that we do best.
One of our clients casually remarked, “It’s so nice to sit in these workshops and know that we’re already doing most of the things that are suggested, or they’re already on the horizon for us. It’s also nice to hear that other cancer centers face similar challenges and we’re not alone.”
Same. That made us feel pretty great, too.
We always look forward to the opportunity to connect with current clients, partner agencies, and old friends, as well as meeting new professionals in roles across the spectrum of this business that we love. Raising as much money as we possibly can to end cancer.
Looking forward to Buffalo, NY, in 2020!
